  • Overview

    Under general direction, the main purpose of the Marketing and Sales Coordinator is to support and ensure the smooth operation of NASCO's Growth Office. This includes: performing moderately complex administrative support, aid with marketing materials and conferences, assistance with the development of PowerPoint presentations and assistance with maintenance, providing hands-on support for NASCO’s social media strategy, and research associated with NASCO's CRM system. Other duties include: coordinating demonstrations and meetings, supporting NASCO's social media presence, booking travel and coordination of meetings. Some of the tools used include. Microsoft Office Suite products, primarily PowerPoint, Word and Excel. This is a rigorous position which requires a high degree of multi-tasking. Communicates with the Senior Vice President, CGO and the marketing and growth office regarding status of projects and activities.


    Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Prepares and processes expense reports, invoices, and purchase orders.
    • Assists with RFP duties such as creating binders for RFPs, printing and shipping materials, traveling to sales event and helping with set up, handouts, AV setup
    • Performs entry level marketing related tasks such as ordering materials, business cards, creating PowerPoints, creating and updating branded templates and researching products at the guidance of others on the marcomm team.
    • Plans, schedules, and organizes internal/external meeting arrangements, materials, takes minutes at meetings, record and distribute minutes.
    • Develops & documents processes for tasks performed
    • Screens phone calls and emails to resolve routine and complex inquiries.
    • Coordinates and supports NASCO conferences and larger meetings with business partners and customers
    • Creates campaign recaps and informs ongoing decision making by using marketing performance data
    • Manages and supports NASCO's social media profile and campaigns
    • Maintains data in NASCO's CRM tool.
    • Researches and gather data on NASCO competitors, business partners and potential customers
    • Creates and maintain NASCO PowerPoint presentations
    • Supports various Marketing and social media campaigns

    Additional Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Prepares and distributes proposal binders, company overviews, literature packages, and lead distribution materials
    • Assists Marketing Department with distribution and mailing of promotional items and materials
    • Follows up with administrators for current and potential customers to coordinate logistics
    • Travels to event locations with marcomm and/or sales team to help with duties as assigned. Setting up booths, tables, helping to transport marketing materials
    • Provides proofreading and light editing for marketing materials


    Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience:


    • Customer Service/Interpersonal skills: such as phone skills, communication skills, active listening and client-care
    • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
    • Critical thinker; ability to see need for change & implement within company guidelines
    • Organization skills, attention to details
    • Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate communications
    • Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office, and the Internet
    • Ability to handle work related stress
    • General understanding of marketing and sales concepts
    • 3-5 years of previous marketing, sales or administrative experience.

    Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience:

    • Advanced skills in PowerPoint

    Required Training and Education:

    • Associates degree, or equivalent work experience

    Desired Training and Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, or related field, or equivalent work experience
