Overview

The Total Rewards Manager plays a critical role in managing and executing Total Rewards programs to attract, retain, and motivate top talent. This leader ensures that all total reward programs such as compensation, benefits, and recognition programs as well as payroll, align with the company’s strategic objectives and meet all regulatory and legal requirements. This role will oversee program implementation, develop policies, and provide strategic, tactical and operational leadership to ensure the company maintains its position as an employer of choice. This role is responsible for all compensation administration. The Total Rewards Manager is a supervisory position. This role reports to the VP, People Experience (HR).

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements strategies for total rewards including compensation structure and incentives and benefits packages
  • Reviews market trends and industry standards to ensure competitive and fair compensation and benefits plans
  • Analyzes and reports on total rewards data
  • Oversees employee benefit programs and payroll
  • Administers compensation related programs and policies, such as merit, various incentive Plans including executive compensation
  • Oversees the education and communication of all total rewards to ensure timely and accurate compensation, payroll and benefit enrollment and changes
  • Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders, such as finance and management, to align financial transactions to the General Ledger
  • Evaluates and recommends improvements to Total Rewards programs to attract and retain top talent
  • Manages vendor relations and third-party contracts
  • Provides leadership, coaching and performance management to direct reports
  • Oversees the integrity of Total Rewards data in related systems

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of compensation administration, job evaluation methodologies, and U.S. benefits design
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, compensation tools, and Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of labor legislation
  • Ability to create presentations and education materials for all audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring data accuracy and system efficiency
  • Knowledge of payroll administration
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

 

Experience:

  • 7 years’ of relevant experience
  • 3 years’ experience using an HRIS system and compensation tools
  • 3 years’ of experience as a direct manager of people in Total Rewards

 

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

 

Preferred Certification:

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred

 

Working Conditions:

  • Home office/Remote
  • Must be able to sit and use equipment at workstation for up to 8 hours
  • Occasional weekend work required
