Overview

The Human Resources Intern will lead a project‑based initiative to build a complete and accurate job library for the organization. The intern will fully own and execute the project, with the goal of ensuring that all job descriptions are written, all job families are defined and organized, and every active employee is aligned to a role that accurately reflects their work.

 

Working closely with HR and business leaders, the intern will create and update job descriptions, establish job families aligned with organizational standards, and oversee the rollout of an updated job description repository. This role offers hands‑on experience in job architecture, project management, stakeholder engagement, and HR process improvement.

 

This is a paid, full‑time, remote internship running from May through August 2026, ideal for a graduate student — though strong bachelor’s degree candidates will also be considered — who is interested in HR strategy, job design, and workforce structure.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with HR team members and business leaders to review, draft, and update job descriptions across multiple functional areas
  • Ensures job descriptions are consistent with organizational job architecture
  • Assists in evaluating job levels, scope, and competencies to support alignment with career paths and talent practices
  • Applies best practices for job description structure, language, and compliance considerations
  • Supports the design, implementation, and ongoing management of a centralized job description repository
  • Tracks project progress, maintains documentation, supports change‑management efforts, and delivers regular status updates and final results
  • Develops or updates process documentation, templates, and user guides related to job description management
  • Supports HR with ad hoc initiatives related to talent management, job architecture, or process improvement as needed

Qualifications

Internship Program Details:

  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Start Date: Approximately May 18, 2026
  • End Date: Friday, August 7, 2026
  • Location: 100% remote (no travel required)
  • Reports to: Manager, Human Resources
  • Work environment: Must be able to use equipment at workstation for up to 8 hours daily
  • Pay: Hourly rate of $24, eligible for overtime pay

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to participate in a full-time internship from mid-May through early August 2026 (40 hours/week)
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to translate information into clear, concise job descriptions
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with SharePoint or similar document management tools is a plus
  • Proficient in collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams
  • Proficient in Ai tools and Ai prompting

 

Experience:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree in Human Resources, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • Coursework or experience related to job analysis, compensation, job evaluation, or talent management

 

 

Preferred Training, Certification and Education:

  • Familiarity with HR systems, job libraries, or content management tools
  • Interest in HR strategy, job design, and workforce planning
  • Prior HR internship or project experience (corporate or consulting)
